What the viewer was meant to leave with

The Boötes Void is a roughly spherical region about 330 million light-years across that holds only around 60 galaxies where the normal density of the universe predicts about 2,000. It is so vast that astronomer Greg Aldering noted if the Milky Way sat at its center, we wouldn't have discovered other galaxies existed until roughly the 1960s. Voids like it make up on the order of 80% of the volume of the observable universe.

Every episode declares this before a single shot is ordered. An episode that cannot name it does not get made — “that was nice” is a failure state.

Figures are read out of this episode’s own build folder, not estimated. Where the renderer recorded a measured runtime it is labelled as measured; where it did not, the planned value is shown and labelled as planned.
