What the viewer was meant to leave with
3I/ATLAS, discovered July 1, 2025, is only the third interstellar object ever detected. Its methane-to-water ratio is about 11 times anything measured from comets born in our solar system, and ESO/JWST isotope studies suggest it formed around an ancient, metal-poor star — possibly up to 12 billion years ago, far older than the 4.6-billion-year-old Sun. SETI listened for signals and heard only silence. As of mid-2026 it is beyond Jupiter, on a hyperbolic trajectory out of the solar system, never to return.
Every episode declares this before a single shot is ordered. An episode that cannot name it does not get made — “that was nice” is a failure state.
Figures are read out of this episode’s own build folder, not estimated. Where the renderer recorded a measured runtime it is labelled as measured; where it did not, the planned value is shown and labelled as planned.
